And now you are another month older, how is time going so quickly?
A lot has gone on this month, Florence is changing every single day and she is such a content little girl... her giggle and smile is infectious and I’m so besotted by her!
We sure the dietitian on the 4th July at our local hospital. She wasn’t very pleased with Florence. Florence now weighs 10lb 12oz and is now just about touching the first line on the centile chart, ideally we want Florence to be in the middle somewhere but she’s had a difficult start so she’s doing great considering! We were also advised to start weaning, she said Florence was more than ready. I’m a little bit nervous to start weaning as I’ve never done weaning dairy free before but I’ve been doing a lot of bed time reading to help know what flo can and can’t have, so fingers crossed! I have to continue to get florence weighed every two weeks and then we have another appointment in October with the dietitian to see how florence is doing with her weaning, however if I have any concerns or her weight gains slow down and come to a stand still again or she loses she will be seen straight away.
Ive also been thinking a lot about my work, I’ve decided to go back to work at the end of August florence will be nearly 7 months, in one hand I'm over the moon to be getting back into a routine and going back to a job I love but I feel like florence isn’t my new little baby anymore... this pregnancy and maternity leave has gone so quickly this time round!
sleeping routine
Florence is an excellent sleeper, she sleeps comepltely through the night and has done for about the past two months! Florence will usually have a bottle between 7pm-8pm, she will usually fall asleep while having her bottle, once she has had enough we put her down in her moses basket and we won’t hear nothing from her until about 6:30am-7am the next morning... however I’m not convinced it will stay like this forever!
relationship with family and friends
Florence does always have a smile for everyone that’s for sure, she sometimes cries but that’s very rare. I think she is a very social baby and she’s always got something to say cooing and giggling to everyone. Her relationship with her brothers has really come on over the past month, they constantly make her laugh and she’s even started grabbing there toys!
Tummy time
florence has no problem in rolling over that’s for sureness however she’s not keen on being on her front... she’s not got the hang of putting her arms in front to help push herself up yet, so she gets herself a little bit stressed. But her legs are constantly going ten to the dozen, she loves a good kick!
im excited to see what next month will bring us, how are weaning journey will go and I’m planning to get as much in before I return to work!
if any of you have any nice recipes and tips for weaning a cmpa baby let me know!

until next time - Morgen x
